Scholarships are very important because is shows for one you've achieved something or have certain qualities to obtain a scholarship. The cost of living is going up and also the cost of college is going up. To quality for certain jobs you need a college degree if you don't have a college degree you don't even get looked at. To help you get a degree and later on in life pay off student loans you need to work harder in life and gain scholarships. One quarter of the U.S. population owe a collective $700 billion in student loan debt. With scholarships you can help lower the debt you owe for student loans. Some people don't have the money or opportunities in their life to go to college, scholarships is just another way to help them.

What i have left to do is take my sat and act a couple more times and get letters of recommendation. I really need to take my sat a couple more times as many times possible before the end of my senior year.I also need to start applying to those three colleges. All these tasks will be completed during the summer time by the end of summer i will have everything ready specifically by the month of August and applied for. Academically i am where i need to be i just need to improve some more in some areas which is possible my senior year. These colleges are the ones for me they all have a field i would want to go into or get into. i wanted to stay in Texas and not move out of state they also fit that situation. They also the big huge university's that cost lots and lots of money they are still expensive just not expensive as the know named ones.

Having a college degree is necessary plus the worth of the cost. If you don't have a college degree and your applying for a upper/middle job then most employers don't even consider you because you don't have a college degree. It will be a struggle to go threw life without a college degree because you cant get a good paying job without one. So it is way worth the cost and it is necessary unless your just lucky and you are a millionaire or a billionaire. But most people aren't ever going to be that so they have to work hard for a college degree depending on which level and make something of themselves.

I think that the US opportunists are way better that of any other country especially the country i did. We are legally forced to go to school or we get truancy everyone gets their fair chance at school to make something of themselves or just coast threw it. I think we have one of the best school systems others in school just work harder then others but everyone has equal opportunities.

What i did over spring break was chill and relax most of the week. Didn't really go anywhere or do anything to exciting over the break. It was good to get away from school and relax. Sleeping in everyday and staying up all night was really good also just like summer. It was very fun to not have school and work and get money and spend it on lots of something.

Tuesday
1. The character most transformed the most through out was the character Tod. He was effected the most cause hes the only one that struggled to sign the paper against Mr. Keating. He knew that it wasn't the teachers fault and he tried to tell him at the end of the movie. At first he thought Mr Keating was weird and grew to like him and change.
2. The kid that does not change through out the whole movie is the kid cameron. He is the first to snitch on Mr keating. Mr keating does not sway on him or influence him at all actually the guys grew to hate him towards the end of the movie.
3. Mr keating does not change through out the movie he stays the same. Even as he leaves he doesn't try to explain what he did. He wanted everyone to think for themselves and not be confined by society.
Thursday

Friday
1. The most influential person i have ever had was probably one of my football coaches because they pushed beyond what i could go.
2. I don't really look at poetry as that when we read it its just like poetry.
3. I do agree sometimes you have to look at life in a different perspective. Life has different meanings and sometimes we need to get up on a desk to see the difference.
4. What he means is to leave your mark on the world not to be defined by society. Not be like every other normal person in the world.

  1. It is set a dead poet society at a college for all guys.
  2. The four pillars at the academy are tradition, honor, discipline and excellence.
  3. The students say they are Travesty, Horror, Decadence, Excrement

  4. He takes the boys out in the hallway and tells them that they are powerful individual.

  5. Mr. Keating wants the boys to learn to think for themselves.
  6. The Dead Poet Society was a secret literary club for students at Welton Academy.
  7. The symbolism of the boys going to the cave is them going out in secret symbolizing its a secret club.
  8. Stood on his desk and told the boys when they stand on their desks they will view things in a different way.
  9.  There is always meaning to what someone is and something behind that that explains what they are and why.
  10. He went into the woods because he wanted to live freely and wanted to be on his own. He wanted the freedom of nature.
  11. His philosophy of sports is that no one sport is better.
  12. He makes him get up in front of the close his eyes and tricks him into saying the poem that comes from his mind.
  13. It was choosen cause the dead poet suicide is dead and so is the music he was playing.
  14. They were chosen over other because some have other significant to the movie then others do.
  15. I think the statement is highly true i think it was a risky decision to make.
  16. I do think charlie is to daring he puts everyone at risks. He think that hes doing good by it but he really just put them at risk.
  17. I do not think mr keating is a bad influence he is just telling the boys to have a open mind and not be defined by society. That they should do whatever makes them happy not be defined by what other expectations are.
  18. What mr Keating does well as a leader he makes the guys think for themselves and not be defined as in like a book. His downfalls is he can do all that without pushing the limits to hard.
  19. The affect of people when they were on their def-fiances is someone ends up killing himself cause of it. It wasn't mr keatings fault at all it was his dads but he had a small part.
  20. I think that niels father was to blame for his death he pushed him not push he forced him to do something that doesn't make him happy.
  21. I honestly think mr keating had no effect on him i think his dad would had pushed him either way and it would have ended the same.
  22. I think Charlie is the most daring by far he pushed the limits to expulsion and that was the most daring.
  23. Tod did sign the paper because at the end of the movie he was telling Mr Keating he was sorry that they forced him to.
  24. I think mr keating will be able to get another job or he will go back home first.
  25. I think the most important them was academic pressure because all of their parents were on their butts about it. The school was so strict limiting them to things. They actually stayed at the school that's an example of how strict the are.
  26. I think differently about poetry now because it has more meaning then just being boring. It can be used on multiple such such as getting a girl to like you or catching the attention of someone.
  27. The best piece of poetry i liked best is when the guy wouldn't leave the girls school he liked and said his poem by heart. I think he had an effect on her after that cause it was pretty good.

  1. Discuss the role(s) of women in the 1950s as portrayed in the movie. How are they different from the view of Katherine Watson?
The roles of women were supposed to go to college if they could be able to go. But also they were supposed to get married and tend to their husbands needs just be a stay at home wife all day.Such as take care of the kids all day cook clean etc. That was the image of many women back then except for some few. One such was Katherine Watson she belied that women shouldn't be defined by society. She believed that women could be who ever they wanted or do whatever they wanted. She wanted them to think outside the box for them to all be individually different and not be defined by what society says.

  1. Betty's marriage to Spencer – do you think she was happy? Note her mother's refusal to let her stay with her. Why?
Betty was not happy to be with Spencer she was unhappy and just trying to do what was right according to society. Her mother was confining her to what she wanted and telling her what was right instead of letting her do what she wanted. She wanted Betty to be just like her i believe that her mother wasn't happy either by the way she was acting. Thats why Betty ended up divorcing Spencer and breaking what society thought was right and doing what she wanted instead.
